Flying from Napoli to London, couldn’t believe I don’t live in Italy

I needed so much time to adapt, first weekends I would not leave the house. I was done with traveling.

Toastmasters

Somehow I’ve ended up in Toastmasters Committee as VP of Membership. We all had a mandatory training to prepare us for the role. I decided to sacrifice my Saturday and attend in person. It was a good decision! I met quite some interesting people running Toast Masters Clubs. It encouraged me to visit a club outside my own.

Once I was barely back from my trip, I had organized Toastmasters meeting. It was so crazy and chaotic! But somehow it still worked. I’ve also been the toastmaster for the over meeting, being in charge of all the transitions

Anne Boleyn musical

Convince Simão to see the last Anne Bollein musical under the rain in her own castle!

Though we were not allowed to explore the castle, we spend quite some time in the rainy gardens thinking about history and making photos.

We even took the photo with Henry the eighth!

Found in meetup Algorithms club Chiswick! Joined and spent time solving some leetcode problems with total strangers. Which was… kinda great.

Thoughts

My August is not quite crazy as July, and it is nice change of pace. There’s so much time you can spend around in a new city every day. At the same time I regret not taking so many trips around UK. But I still have time! Work feels better with Maria around. Having psychological support is fundamental. Spending great time with my boyfriend, making each other all kind of surprises 🙃
